The Billing Specialist will be responsible for maintaining the highest level of customer service while performing the following skills.
Requirements
- Outstanding customer service skills
- Outstanding mathematical skills
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work with a high sense of urgency
- Ability to efficiently multi-task and prioritize work
- GED or High School Diploma required
- Minimum 1-2 years of customer service experience
- All applicants must be eligible to work in the United States.
Nice To Haves
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology preferred
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
- HIPPA & OSHA Compliance Certification preferred
Responsibilities
- Manages large amounts of inbound and outbound calls in a timely manner
- Interviews, obtains, and verifies patient information via phone
- Informs patients or customers of any missed or upcoming payment deadlines
- Processes customer payments per Mia Aesthetics’ protocols and procedures
- Advises patients about financing options and walks them through the payment process
- Researches and responds appropriately to all balance inquiries
- Generates invoices and conducts financial transactions ensuring they are on track and on time
- Ensures invoices match contracts for upcoming patient surgeries
- Audits the data input in the accounting system to ensure the accuracy of the final bill
- Sends links to patients to be able to self-pay online
- Sends links to patients to be able to self-pay with Care Credit
- Gathers all proper documentation to process a financing payment
