About The Position
At Xcell Orthopaedics Physical Therapy, we are dedicated to helping our patients recover, move better, and live pain-free. As a premier outpatient therapy provider in the Rio Grande Valley, we care for patients ranging from 4 to 99 years old across specialized programs, including: Orthopedic Rehabilitation & Musculoskeletal Care, Aquatic Physical Therapy, Fall Prevention & Balance Center, Specialized Neurological & Vestibular Rehabilitation. We are rapidly expanding! With multiple new expansion projects underway across the RGV, our goal is to bring exceptional, patient-centered care and preventive health education to even more communities. Requirements
- Minimum of 1–2 years of hands-on experience in medical billing.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Strong understanding of insurance verification, payment posting, appeals, and credentialing processes.
- Ability to multitask, manage time efficiently, and excel in a fast-paced setting.
Nice To Haves
- Higher education is a plus.
- Bilingual ability is a plus, but not required.
Responsibilities
- Submitting claims and proactively following up on claim statuses.
- Accurately posting patient and insurance payments.
- Verifying patient benefits and eligibility prior to treatment.
- Handling claim denials, preparing documentation, and managing appeals.
- Assisting with provider insurance credentialing and re-credentialing.
