About The Position

Under the supervision of the THS Director, the incumbent is responsible for electronic and paper third party billing for Tribal Health Services and interacting with State (Medicaid) and Federal (Medicare) agencies. The incumbent must have experience with billing Medicare, Medicaid and private insurance. Responsible for verifying patient insurances, following up with unpaid claims and accounts receivable reporting.

Requirements

• Experience with billing Medicare, Medicaid and private insurance
• Coder certification
• 3-5 years of billing experience in a medical office
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office including word and excel

Nice To Haves

• 2 years of experience in Indian Health Service Purchased and Referred Care
