We are seeking an experienced Billing Specialist to take ownership of complex billing processes and support accurate, timely financial operations. Requirements

3+ years of experience in billing, accounts receivable, or a related accounting role
Demonstrated knowledge of AIA progress billings, schedules of values (SOVs), lien waivers, and accurate retention calculation.
Strong understanding of billing workflows and accounting principles
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Proficiency with accounting systems and advanced Excel skills
Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Experience handling sensitive and confidential financial information

Responsibilities

Prepare, review, and issue accurate invoices based on contracts, service agreements, time and material, and usage data
Analyze billing information to ensure compliance with contract terms and pricing structures
Identify, research, and resolve billing discrepancies and escalated issues
Serve as a point of contact for customer billing inquiries and dispute resolution
Maintain detailed and accurate billing records and supporting documentation
Process billing adjustments, credits, and corrections as needed
Collaborate closely with accounting, sales, and operations teams to ensure billing accuracy
Support month-end close, reconciliations, and billing-related reporting
Identify opportunities to improve billing processes and controls
