About The Position

Mindful Support Services supports independent mental health providers with billing, insurance support, marketing, and administrative services. The Billing Specialist processes insurance claims and payments, researches accounts, and provides billing support to providers and clients. The role works with internal teams to resolve billing issues, maintain accurate records, and support a positive billing experience. No prior medical billing experience is required; comprehensive training is provided. Requirements

Customer service experience.
Ability to communicate professionally, clearly, and effectively with clients, providers, management, and team members by phone and email.
Willingness to learn new skills and a positive attitude.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other basic computer applications.
Background check required.

Nice To Haves

Basic understanding of health insurance.
Front desk, customer service, or billing experience in a medical, dental, vision, or healthcare setting.
Associate degree.

Responsibilities

Communicate with clients and providers about insurance questions; help obtain accurate insurance information and explain clients’ financial responsibilities.
Verify insurance benefits and communicate the information to new clients.
Complete daily claims submissions, insurance billing activities, and client account research.
Process and post insurance and client payments.
Collaborate with team members to meet department goals and support daily billing operations.
Identify opportunities for process improvements.
