About The Position

We're looking for a detail-oriented Billing Specialist to support our Fuel Operations team. In this role, you'll be responsible for processing invoices, maintaining customer and employee account information, researching billing discrepancies, and supporting month-end accounting activities. The ideal candidate is highly organized, enjoys working with data, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where accuracy and customer service are essential.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of administrative, billing, accounting support, or related office experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Intermediate math and analytical skills.
  • Ability to identify issues, gather information, and resolve problems efficiently.
  • Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service and telephone etiquette.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with team members across departments.
  • Must reside within 60 miles of our Houston office.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with SAP or other ERP systems.
  • Experience in the fuel, transportation, logistics, or energy industry.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain customer and employee accounts in company systems.
  • Maintain fuel codes and location information.
  • Import transaction data and process fuel-related invoices.
  • Generate and process manual invoices as needed.
  • Research and resolve missing, incomplete, or inaccurate billing transactions.
  • Manage Fuel Card and Fuel Will Call email inboxes.
  • Respond to fuel card inquiries from employees and internal departments.
  • Generate weekly and monthly customer reports.
  • Set up and maintain employee accounts.
  • Assist with month-end closing activities.
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with Accounting, Operations, Customer Service, and other departments.
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
