The Billing Rep is responsible for accurately collecting and inputting billing data into the computer system. This role involves entering patient charges, ensuring accurate patient and insurance information, verifying insurance eligibilities, and confirming billing charges against chart notes to ensure compliance with coding guidelines and correct billing procedures. The position also requires communication with providers regarding documentation and billing, working various reports, providing estimates and predeterminations, completing specific forms, and utilizing coding books. Additionally, the Billing Rep will act as a backup for other billing roles, reconcile daily receipts and charges, assist in training new staff, and support management with audit preparation. Cross-training for posting explanations of benefits, posting various payment types, and following up on delinquent and denied claims with insurance companies are also key responsibilities. Claims processing via insurance company websites is required. This position offers the option to be hybrid after training completion.
