About The Position

The Billing Manager is responsible for overseeing all billing operations to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company policies and contractual requirements. This role requires strong attention to detail, proven experience managing a large team, and the ability to collaborate effectively with multiple levels of management and cross-functional partners.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience managing a large billing or finance team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with multiple levels of management, including senior leadership.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy and quality.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Experience with billing systems, ERP platforms, and Microsoft Excel or similar tools.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, and develop a high-volume billing team, including hiring, training, performance management, and succession planning.
  • Oversee daily billing operations to ensure invoices are accurate, complete, and issued in accordance with contractual terms and deadlines.
  • Maintain a strong quality-control mindset, ensuring attention to detail in all billing activities and minimizing errors and rework.
  • Partner with Operations, Project Management, Finance, and Accounting teams to resolve billing issues and improve upstream processes.
  • Communicate effectively with frontline staff, mid-level managers, and senior leadership, providing clear updates on billing performance, risks, and opportunities.
  • Establish and monitor KPIs related to billing accuracy, cycle time, revenue recognition, and workload management.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and implement scalable solutions to support growth and efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and applicable regulations.
