About The Position

Oversees the day-to-day operations of the Billing Specialists. Under the direct supervision of the Director of Revenue Cycle, incumbent is responsible for preparing, implementing, and managing existing and new departmental processes and procedures. This role also involves keeping departmental staff appraised of organizational and industry changes, assisting with billing and follow-up functions, conducting new employee training, attending management meetings, and promoting a positive patient/customer service attitude.

Requirements

• Associates Degree in related field
• Minimum of 3 years of medical billing and medical management experience
• Advanced and current working knowledge of ICD-10, CPT and HCPCS codes
• Current knowledge of insurance payer coding and reimbursement guidelines
• Working knowledge of methods, procedures, regulations, and guidelines in patient billing
• Must be comfortable working and making decisions independently
• Able to identify, initiate, implement and manage business practices, policies and processes
• Proficient organization skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
• Must possess the ability to communicate in the dominant language of the geographic region.

Nice To Haves

• CPC and/or CPB or similar certification highly desired
• eClinicalWorks experience preferred
