We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced full-time Billing Manager/Accounts Receivable to join our corporate office team in a hybrid role supporting multi-site billing functions. The Billing Manager/Accounts Receivable is responsible for overseeing billing operations, accounts receivable management, collections, reimbursement follow-up, and revenue cycle processes across affiliated healthcare facilities. This role works closely with facility leadership, finance teams, payers, and corporate leadership to ensure timely and accurate billing, strong cash flow performance, and compliance with healthcare billing regulations and company standards. The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, professional, and experienced in healthcare billing and collections. This individual must be able to manage multiple priorities, maintain confidentiality, and work independently in a hybrid environment while collaborating effectively with facility and corporate teams.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in healthcare billing, accounts receivable, or revenue cycle management required
  • Skilled nursing facility (SNF) billing experience strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, managed care, and private insurance billing processes
  • Experience managing aging reports and collections efforts
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines independently
  • Professional communication and problem-solving skills
  • High level of discretion and confidentiality
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and healthcare billing software systems

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with PointClickCare and/or other long-term care software preferred

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage accounts receivable and billing processes for multiple healthcare facilities
  • Monitor aging reports and proactively address outstanding balances and reimbursement issues
  • Ensure timely submission of claims and accurate billing practices
  • Work directly with Medicare, Medicaid, managed care, heavy insurance, hospice, and private pay accounts
  • Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies, denials, and payment variances
  • Coordinate with facility business office staff and leadership regarding AR performance and collections strategies
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and payer billing regulations
  • Assist with month-end reporting, cash projections, and revenue tracking
  • Develop and maintain billing workflows, internal controls, and process improvements
  • Support audits, documentation requests, and financial reporting needs
  • Communicate professionally with residents, families, insurance companies, and external partners when necessary
  • Provide leadership, training, and operational support related to billing and collections functions
