About The Position
Responsible for correcting, completing, and processing claims of all payer codes. Also required to generate reports from computer in accordance with established procedures.
Requirements
- High school graduate or GED
- One-year experience in handling billing and account receivables in a similar set up or related field
- Some training or background in ICD-A/CPT codes
- Able to work under pressure
- Able to handle multiple functions and tasks
- Understanding of community-based organizations
- Ability to communicate with the medical staff and managers
- Some knowledge of bookkeeping and office functions
- Some knowledge of CPT and ICD9 codes
- Ability to work proficiently and efficiently on a timely manner
- Knowledge of all payer codes
- Knowledge of all programs offered by NHSI
- Ability to relate to the public regardless of ethnic, religions, and economic status
