About The Position

The Billing Analyst is responsible for supporting the billing readiness process for North America Field Service. This role works closely with field offices and internal teams to validate job completion, confirm customer authorization, review and correct cost postings, and ensure service orders and projects are accurately prepared for billing. The position plays a key role in managing open order activity, supporting month-end readiness, resolving billing-related issues, and contributing to continuous process improvement.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 5+ years of experience in a business, administrative, operations, billing, finance, or customer support environment.
  • 1+ years of experience using Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and related productivity tools.

  • Experience using ServiceMax, Salesforce, SAP, or similar operational and financial systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to build process expertise, identify improvement opportunities, and support a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Strong financial acumen and ability to review, interpret, and validate cost-related information.

Responsibilities

  • Validate jobs for billing readiness by confirming customer authorization, service order or project completion, accurate cost postings, and appropriate Ready to Bill status.
  • Review and correct cost posting errors, confirmation issues, and other billing-related discrepancies as needed.
  • Communicate professionally with field offices regarding job status, missing information, billing readiness concerns, and required follow-up actions.
  • Monitor open order activity daily and support month-end close activities to ensure timely and accurate billing readiness.
  • Assist with customer disputes as needed by researching issues, supporting resolution efforts, and providing timely updates.
  • Upload produced invoices into Customer Portals for payment.
  • Perform updates and corrections in applicable systems to support accurate billing, reporting, and operational visibility.
  • Meet established performance metrics and service expectations.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen the billing readiness process, reduce rework, and improve the customer and field experience.
