About The Position
The Biller I is a Full Time position located in Collins, MS at Covington County Hospital. This role is responsible for accurate billing, coding, claim submission, reimbursement follow-up, and maintaining financial accuracy and regulatory compliance within the Patient Accounts department.
Requirements
- Experience as a Medical Biller
- Knowledge of billing processes, coding standards, insurance guidelines
- Proficiency with billing software
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Familiarity with HIPAA

- Billing/coding certification preferred
Responsibilities
- Review/re-code medical procedures, diagnoses, and treatments (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS)
- Submit insurance claims
- Follow up on unpaid/denied claims
- Communicate with insurers, patients, providers
- Maintain billing records and HIPAA compliance
- Stay current on coding rules
- Assist with patient billing inquiries and payment plans
