About The Position

Midway Staffing connects individuals with light industrial employment opportunities. As a Staffing Coordinator, you will be the primary point of contact for clients and job seekers, responsible for filling open orders quickly and accurately. This role is dynamic and requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys problem-solving, and is driven by achieving key performance metrics such as fill rate, retention, attendance, and client satisfaction.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of experience in staffing, recruiting, HR, or administrative support.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
• Ability to conduct in-person and phone interviews with a high level of attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft and/or Google Suite.
• Ability to build rapport quickly and gain trust.
• Clear and direct communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Proactive problem-solving skills.
• Urgency and a strong sense of follow-through.

Nice To Haves

• Staffing agency experience.
• Prior ATS experience.

Responsibilities

• Source, screen, and interview candidates.
• Match candidates to open roles effectively to ensure successful placements.
• Partner with recruiters and Branch Manager on hiring strategies.
• Participate in career fairs and recruitment drives to expand the talent pool.
• Stay informed about the local job market to maintain a competitive edge.
• Ensure client and candidate satisfaction after a placement is made.
• Manage onboarding paperwork, background checks, and first-day preparations.
• Handle immediate client needs, such as covering shifts on short notice.
• Maintain and update the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
