The Bilingual Spanish-Speaking Resident Advocate (PT) at DOVE House is responsible for maintaining confidentiality, security, safety, and general upkeep of the facility. This role involves attending to the overall needs of in-shelter clients, answering helpline and dispatch phone calls, and assisting with client intake and exit processes. The advocate must maintain a professional and considerate demeanor. Part-time advocates are also assigned training duties and are expected to stay current with best practices in victim advocacy, including completing a 40-hour victim advocacy training. Bilingual advocates collaborate with the Spanish Advocacy Team to develop and implement protocols for timely response to Spanish-speaking survivors and to support outreach efforts within the Spanish-speaking community.
