The Bilingual Senior Advisor, Strategic Communications and Public Affairs leads the development and execution of strategic communications initiatives to strengthen Mitacs’ visibility, reputation, and alignment with organizational priorities. This role develops high-quality written content and communications materials for internal and external audiences, supports executive communications, storytelling, media relations, events, and brand alignment. The role elevates the Mitacs brand and story, ensuring consistent language and narrative. It also supports Mitacs Executive members by crafting remarks and media briefings, and cultivating media opportunities through pitching and op-ed development. The successful candidate is a fluently bilingual communications professional with experience in both French and English strategic communications. They are a strategic communicator, experienced writer and editor with sound judgment, strong attention to detail, and the ability to translate complex information into clear, compelling, and audience-focused communications materials.
