About The Position

The Resource Management Senior Associate is a member of the Canada Assurance Resource Management Team, contributing to the goals of effective deployment of our practitioners and comprehensive project staffing for delivery of our engagements. The East Region Senior Associate role supports these deliverables in our Atlantic offices and Quebec Private Group. This job posting relates to an existing vacancy within our organization.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience

Responsibilities

  • Meet with Partners, Senior Managers and Managers regularly to discuss staffing requirements for their clients, and to gain an understanding of specific engagement needs and deadlines, presenting recommendations for such requirements
  • Maximize utilization by identifying imbalances, negotiating and reallocating resources to address the issues
  • Prioritize staffing decisions based on engagement risk, skills, timing, continuity and geographic considerations
  • Focuses on matching engagement needs with required skills, development opportunities and engagement risk; meets with client-serving professionals to discuss development needs and identify engagement and learning opportunities as appropriate
  • Manage staffing conflicts with all relevant parties, providing alternative staffing recommendations and escalating issues as appropriate
  • Communicate regularly with RM team and/or engagement managers on the status of staffing requirements
  • Audit Retain regularly for accuracy
  • Monitor unassigned resources, act as point of contact for unassigned staff, identify assignments for same
  • Assist with annual planning process - incl. data input to planning tool as directed by RM team leaders
  • Liaising with other groups as needed – Learning, Campus, HR
  • Provide review and analysis of reporting on a weekly basis to line partners and market leaders, bringing to attention any inconsistencies or areas for concern
  • Assist leadership with the regular controls analysis and documentation of excessive hours and documentation of progress with staffing concerns
  • Work with peers across the Canadian Assurance RM team to share resources and leading practices
  • Contribute to Resource Management priorities; task forces; and/or projects
