About The Position
The Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Pascal Mubenga, is interested in receiving applications from qualified candidates for the position of Bilingual Remedial Speech Teacher Temporary. This role involves establishing an environment to enhance individual growth and promote effective communication and speech-language skills, facilitating on-going services for students with disabilities, and conducting speech-language screening and evaluations. The Speech Teacher works cooperatively with school personnel to accomplish the goals and objectives stated on IEP. The speech teacher plans, organizes, and delivers the highest quality of speech-language services, monitors and evaluates student progress, maintains records and reports, enforces Board of Education policies, regulations, and rules, maintains school property and materials and performs any assigned duties as deemed necessary.
Requirements
- Hold New York State certification as a Teacher of the Speech and Hearing Handicapped or Teacher of the Speech and Language Disabled with a bilingual extension
- Attach a PDF or a screenshot of their certifications
- Know Medicaid Regulations
- Know ASHA Scope and Practice of Speech-Language Pathology
- Know Federal and State Regulations on Speech Pathology
