About The Position

Recovia is seeking a full-time BILINGUAL REFERRAL COORDINATOR for our corporate office in Midtown Phoenix. Recovia is an integrated outpatient treatment program to treat the whole person. We provide chronic pain, mental health, and substance use treatment - all under one roof. We are looking for an eager individual who is passionate about helping people and is willing to learn and grow personally and professionally to join our team!

Requirements

  • MUST BE COMFORTABLE with daily high incoming and outgoing call volume and referral processing
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills - comfortable with communicating over the phone
  • Excellent listening skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Proficient in EMR systems
  • Two years of relevant experience

Nice To Haves

  • Previous medical scheduling experience preferred
  • Verification of Benefits/Insurance Authorization Experience a plus
  • Excellent customer service and organizational skills
  • Ability to make independent decisions relative to essential job duties

Responsibilities

  • Serves as the primary point of contact for patients and third-party affiliates that are participating in the Recovia program as well as performs a wide range of administrative and clinical duties directly related to clinic.
  • This role oversees patient scheduling, clinical resources, and all administrative duties during program.
  • Handling a high volume of inbound and outbound calls
  • Responsible for the tracking, coordination and communication of patient referrals
  • Ensures complete and accurate patient registration, including demographics and current insurance information
  • Handles requests from third party referral sources and provides relevant information and data
  • Serves as point person for multidisciplinary evaluation process to include patient scheduling, third party communications, and internal communications
  • Assembles information concerning patient’s clinical background and referral needs
  • Contacts insurance companies to ensure verification of benefits and prior authorization approval requirements are met
  • Reviews details and expectation of referral with the potential patient
  • Assists patients in problem solving potential issues related financial or social barriers (e.g., request interpreters as appropriate, transportation services, etc.)
  • Ensures that referrals are addressed in a timely manner
  • Reminds patients of scheduled appointment
  • Communication with referral sources to ensure patient information/ registration is complete
  • Communicates patient updates between program and referring source
