Requirements

  • Administrative or business college diploma or equivalent, with strong customer service focus.
  • Several years of office reception experience preferably in a child welfare setting.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, time management and administrative abilities including data entry experience.
  • Proven track record of providing excellent client service.
  • Demonstrated problem solving ability.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Appreciation of and ability to engage with a diverse community.
  • Bilingualism (French/English) is required; proficiency will be tested.

Nice To Haves

  • Background in social services is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to incoming calls and incoming guests and referring them to the appropriate person or office and/or taking messages
  • Sort and distribute after hours messages left on the General Mail Box
  • Sort and distribute both incoming and outgoing mail for the organization
  • Sort and distribute incoming facsimile
  • Ensure front door to building is open and closed as per operational hours
  • General data entry tasks & other duties as required
