About The Position

Join our Mining Project Management team as a Bilingual Project Coordinator, supporting projects across the country and contributing to a major large‑scale mining initiative in the Northwest Territories. You may be based in any city in the provinces of Quebec, Ontario or New Brunswick, where we have offices. Your work will strengthen project execution across engineering, environmental, and field‑logistics scopes—shaping solutions that enable safe, sustainable, and responsible mining in northern Canada.

Requirements

  • Education or experience in environmental science, engineering, business administration, project coordination, or a related field.
  • Understanding of foundational project management concepts and the ability to apply them in consulting and technical project settings.
  • Exceptional organizational abilities, with a talent for managing detail‑heavy tasks accurately and reliably.
  • Adaptability in dynamic project environments and the ability to balance competing priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Project, and Adobe; eager to learn additional project tools and systems.
  • Experience in consulting, mining, environmental services, engineering support, or field logistics environments.
  • Collaborative, proactive mindset and motivation to contribute to meaningful projects with community‑level impact.
  • Professionally proficient in both English and French

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate day‑to‑day activities across project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and close‑out stages.
  • Maintain accurate project budgets and schedules, preparing timely updates, variance commentary, and forecasting insights for Project Managers.
  • Support the implementation of project controls, risk tracking, earned‑value updates, and progress reporting in alignment with WSP’s Project Delivery Manual.
  • Prepare subcontractor work orders, assist with supplier coordination, and support purchase order and invoicing workflows.
  • Coordinate client invoicing requirements, ensuring compliance and enabling timely payment.
  • Support Health & Safety documentation, including the development and tracking of project‑specific HSE requirements.
  • Maintain organized document control systems, ensuring deliverables are logged, tracked, and filed appropriately.
  • Assist with logistical coordination including travel, mobilization, and field support for multidisciplinary teams.
  • Prepare meeting minutes and support change order documentation, proposal inputs, notifications, and project close‑out packages.
  • Engage with clients and subconsultants to support smooth, consistent project delivery.
