About The Position

The Bilingual Mortgage Loan Officer serves as a trusted financial consultant to Limited English Proficiency customers, engaging existing customers in Pennymac's $700B+ serviced portfolio via phone to help them achieve their current and future home financing goals. This role is designed for licensed professionals who excel at building relationships and providing clear, ethical guidance. The position offers a steady flow of high-quality, warm inbound leads from the existing Pennymac customer base, eliminating the need for cold calling or self-sourced lead generation. A cutting-edge loan origination system is utilized to serve customers efficiently and drive business forward. The primary focus is to improve the customer's financial situation through expert advice and product solutions.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of origination and lending experience
  • Excellent bilingual (Spanish) proficient interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Must have current UST License
  • Ability to multitask, work in a fast paced environment while navigating through different system applications and software
  • Great sense of responsibility and organization
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Team player, works well with others and willing to assist peers
  • Excellent critical thinking, problem solving and sound judgment skills

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted advisor: Build rapport, evaluate customer needs and take a consultative approach toward customizing the best solution to improve their overall financial situation while leveraging our large suite of first and second mortgage products.
  • Provide tailored solutions: Recommend the loan solutions that best improve the customer's overall financial position and clearly explain how our competitive offer meets their specific needs.
  • Guide customers through the application process: Assist applicants through the entire application process, disclosure review, secure pricing and submit the loan to operations.
  • Pipeline Management: Manage pipeline activities efficiently while meeting production goals and maintaining strict adherence to all compliance requirements and lending regulations.
  • Service Excellence: As a representative of one of the largest residential mortgage lenders in the U.S., maintain a "Best in Class" experience to every caller, reflecting the organization’s culture and values.
