About The Position

Backpack Healthcare is seeking licensed mental health therapists to provide virtual behavioral healthcare to children, teens, young adults, and their families. The role emphasizes accessible, culturally responsive care, delivered through telehealth. The organization is clinician-led, minority-owned, and committed to making behavioral healthcare more accessible. Bilingual English/Spanish clinicians are strongly preferred as many families served prefer therapy in Spanish. The position offers flexibility in scheduling, with options for part-time or full-time work, and a caseload of 15-36 sessions per week. Clinicians will provide individual, family, and group therapy via telehealth, with weekday afternoons and evenings being the typical working hours (2-9 PM). Weekend availability is considered a plus.

Requirements

Active Maryland license: LGPC, LCPC, LMSW, LMFT, or LCSW-C
Experience working with children, adolescents, and families
Ability to work independently in a remote environment
Strong clinical judgment, communication, and documentation skills
Commitment to trauma-informed and culturally responsive practice

Responsibilities

Conduct clinical intakes and assessments
Develop individualized, trauma-informed treatment plans
Provide individual, family, and group therapy via telehealth
Collaborate with therapists, PMHNPs, psychiatrists, and other members of our interdisciplinary team
Support parents and caregivers through education and care coordination
Maintain timely and accurate documentation in our EHR
Provide culturally responsive care that considers each family's language, culture, and unique needs
