About The Position

Responsible for performing a broad variety of financial services such as processing deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, cashiers' checks, money orders, and cash advances, opening and closing accounts, renewing certificate accounts, originating consumer loans and assisting members with account inquiries. Balances each day's transactions and verifies cash totals. Cross sells credit union services and products to meet member needs.

Requirements

  • At least one year of experience in a financial institution.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Basic computer operating skills such as email, Microsoft Office, etc.
  • Willing to drive vehicle, when necessary, will need an updated non-expired driver license.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with new accounts and loan origination.
  • Bilingual English and Spanish ability highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Balance daily transactions and verify cash totals.
  • Cross-sell credit union services and products to meet member needs.

  • Promote a positive and welcoming atmosphere within the branch.
  • Resolve member requests and questions promptly, courteously, and professionally.
  • Promote a team environment.
  • Perform teller, new account, and lending operations.
  • Set monthly cross-selling goals with manager and collaborate with team members to achieve branch and personal goals.
  • Educate members about products and services to meet their financial needs.
  • Ensure confidentiality of all information and transactions regarding credit union members.
  • Maintain the security of the work area and keep it organized and neat.
  • Maintain a professional and courteous attitude with all people.
  • Assist other employees in the branch by answering questions, solving problems, and helping with complex work-related matters.
  • Work at any location serviced in our field of membership as needed.
  • Ensure ATM is balanced at the close of the day.
  • Handle Glia calls and live chats to assist members with inquiries.
  • Professionally express oneself through written and oral communication.
  • Promote a professional appearance and attitude.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.
  • Attend meetings as required.
