About The Position

Concentra is hiring a Medical Assistant for its Chino Hills location. The role works one-on-one with patients and supports their experience, quality of care, and well-being by monitoring patient onboarding and delivering routine medical care. Duties include clinical procedures and testing, as well as cross-training to perform Front Office tasks. The position requires discretion and secure handling of confidential and sensitive information. The role is per diem.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program, training as a medical assistant, or military medical specialist with current credentials in the state of employment.
• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic clinical office environment.

Nice To Haves

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA or RMA) certification is preferred but not required.
• Conversational fluency and the ability to read and write in both English and Spanish are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, obtain medical histories, and verify patient information.
• Prepare patients for physical examinations, take vital signs, and perform required testing.
• Assist during examinations and treatment.
• Perform ancillary tests and tasks as directed by the Center Medical Director and as certified, including PFTs, EKGs, injections, audiograms, and blood draws.
• Perform DOT and non-DOT drug and alcohol testing.
• Cross-train in Front Office duties, including greeting patients, obtaining authorization, checking patients in and out, and communicating wait times.
• Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and secure information management.
