About The Position

This is a 6-month contract position for a Bilingual Intern to provide general support to the HR Manager on recruitment matters and the maintenance of Human Resources records. The role involves assisting with all aspects of recruitment, ensuring documentation compliance, supporting onboarding and technical training, and handling various administrative tasks.

Requirements

  • Bilingual (French/English) proficiency.
  • General support to HR Manager on recruitment matters.
  • Maintenance of Human Resources records.
  • Experience with preparing job postings.
  • Experience screening resumes.
  • Experience short listing candidates.
  • Experience scheduling interviews.
  • Ability to develop and/or source tools that support recruiting or talent acquisition.
  • Ability to prepare offer letters and hiring/onboarding correspondence.
  • Ability to maintain accurate and systematic filing systems.
  • Ability to create structures for HR audit compliance.
  • Experience with hourly hiring and new employee orientation.
  • Ability to process paperwork for hourly and salaried hiring and new employee orientation.
  • Ability to support technical training with external resources.
  • Ability to draft general forms, letters, reports, and memos.
  • Ability to update shopfloor communication.
  • Ability to manage and organize training.

Responsibilities

  • Assist HR Manager with all aspects of recruitment, including preparing job postings, screening resumes, short listing candidates, and scheduling interviews for the Montreal site.
  • Develop and/or source tools that support recruiting or the acquisition of talent.
  • Prepare offer letters and additional correspondence related to hiring and onboarding.
  • Maintain accurate and systematic filing systems, including employee information documentation.
  • Help create a structure to comply with the last HR Audit's recommendations.
  • Perform duties related to hourly hiring and new employee orientation, processing all associated paperwork.
  • Support the ops department with technical training involving external resources.
  • Draft general forms, letters, reports, and memos as necessary.
  • Update communication for the shopfloor.
  • Manage and organize training as requested.
  • Undertake other projects and duties as assigned.
