About The Position

Permanent, part-time instructional support position at Arden Middle School. The schedule is 6 hours per workday, Monday through Friday, 8:15 AM to 2:45 PM, for 9 months per year (206 days annually). The position supports students and requires fluency in English and Pashto. Applicants whose applications are approved will be contacted to arrange bilingual language testing. The position pays $18.11–$23.65 per hour under the CSEA General Unit Salary Schedule and includes benefits.

Requirements

Fluency in Pashto and English.
Previous experience working with groups of children; proof of previous experience working with groups of students is required.
Attach a high school diploma or equivalent and one qualifying document: a passing SJUSD proficiency exam score dated April 2005 or later; an official passing CBEST score; official transcripts showing completion of two years of college (48 semester or 60 quarter units); or proof of an associate degree or higher.
Foreign college degrees or transcripts must be evaluated for equivalency to credentials from an accredited U.S. college or university.

Nice To Haves

Higher education is desirable.
In some programs, possession of or willingness and ability to obtain a valid California Class C driver's license within 30 days of hire, or before driving equipment or a vehicle requiring the license.
