About The Position
The Bilingual Instructional Assistant Farsi/Dari at San Juan High School is a permanent, part-time position within the Support Staff & Services category, specifically in Instructional Support. The role involves assisting with instruction and requires fluency in both English and Farsi/Dari. The position is for 9 months per year, 206 days per year, 5 days per week, with a daily work schedule of 6 hours from Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM. The salary ranges from $18.65 to $24.36 per hour.
Requirements
- Fluency in English and Farsi/Dari.
- Previous experience working with groups of children/students.
- Attach High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Attach one of the following: Passing score from SJUSD's Proficiency Exam (April 2005 to current), Official passing score from the California Basic Educational Skills Test (CBEST), Official transcripts demonstrating completion of two years of college (48 semester/60 quarter units), or Proof of an A.A. degree (or higher).
- If foreign degree/transcripts, must have coursework evaluated for equivalency to a U.S. accredited college or university.
- Willingness and ability to obtain a valid California Class C Driver License within 30 days of hire or before driving any equipment/vehicle requiring this license (in some programs).
