About The Position

This is a part-time, permanent position for an Instructional Assistant II at Schweitzer Elementary School, working 6.5 hours per day. The role involves working with students served in Resource, Learning Handicap, or Communicatively Handicap programs, including supporting students in Special Day Class settings or General Education. The assistant will support the teacher's needs by running small groups and assisting students in both small and large group settings.

Possession of, or willingness and ability to obtain a valid California Class C Driver License within 30 days of hire or before driving any equipment/vehicle requiring this license.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Passing score from San Juan Unified School District's Proficiency Exam (testing date must be April 2005 to current) OR Official passing score from the California Basic Educational Skills Test (CBEST).
Passing the IA Proficiency Test or having the CBEST is required, regardless of educational background.
