About The Position

Royal Switchgear is growing fast and is looking for a Bilingual Human Resources Generalist & Business Partner. This role supports the HR Manager in executing HR operations, with a strong focus on full-cycle recruiting, onboarding, and employee engagement. The position partners with leaders to meet staffing needs and provide day-to-day HR support, while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. The company is in the utility and energy sector, pushing toward clean and renewable energy, and is looking for individuals who want to grow with them. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • A minimum of three to five years of human resources generalist experience and a proven track record as an HR Business Partner.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office software.
  • Fluent in English (Spanish is a plus).
  • Strong employee support and communication skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.

  • Must be available to support night shift operations 2–3 days per week, with flexibility to work 1–2 hours during evening or early morning hours as needed. Night shift schedule is Monday–Thursday 7:00 PM–5:30 AM and Friday 9:00 PM–5:30 AM.
  • Work regular shifts to include evenings; weekends; and/or holidays as assigned. May by subject to call back, on call and/or emergency shifts.
  • Must possess general manual dexterity to operate computer, equipment, tools, controls, or other objects; reach with hands or arms.
  • Must possess mental acuity for attention to accuracy and detail.
  • Must see in the normal visual range with or without correction.
  • Must hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day recruiting for the site, including posting jobs, sourcing candidates, screening, scheduling interviews, and supporting hiring decisions; work directly with managers to understand staffing needs and ensure positions are filled quickly with qualified candidates; partner with Corporate Recruiters as needed.
  • Provide support to the HR Director across multiple entities, including assisting with recruiting, job postings, and other HR-related administrative activities.
  • Actively comply with company safety policies and procedures.
  • Assist with planning and execution of employee engagement initiatives and events, including coordinating logistics, communication, and participation to support a positive workplace culture.
  • Own and facilitate New Hire Orientation, ensuring a consistent and engaging onboarding experience; coordinate schedules, materials, and presenters while ensuring completion of all required documentation.
  • Perform HR administrative functions, including maintaining employee records, processing transactions in HR systems, supporting onboarding/offboarding activities, and ensuring accuracy and compliance in all documentation and data entry.
  • Be highly visible throughout the business and address employee issues with patience and empathy.
  • Counsel employees regarding work, family, or personal issues.
  • Act as liaison between all employees and management to address opportunities, concerns, issues, and challenges.
  • Promote and cultivate a positive and productive culture through effective best practices.
  • Identify interpersonal conflicts, mediate successful resolutions, and monitor outcomes to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Facilitate employee training as needed.
  • Provide support and guidance to management, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations.
  • Assist with Annual Employee Engagement Survey, Focus Groups, and action plan process.
  • Support employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Assist with compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices, reviewing policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Comply with Disaster preparedness and Emergency Procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
