About The Position
TELUS Health is a global-leading health and well-being provider focused on physical, mental, and financial health. This role involves providing mental health care to individuals through the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) in Quebec. The team consists of 150 EAP counsellors who work in a positive environment, supported by accessible supervisors and an organization that values their well-being. The position is remote, permanent, and requires 2 to 5 days of work per week.
Requirements
- Comfortable with a diverse client base and skilled in brief interventions.
- Proactive, resourceful, and organized.
- Hold a master's or doctoral degree in mental health or a related field.
- Registered member in good standing with the OPQ or OTSTCFQ (master's level required).
- At least five years of clinical experience.
- Ability to set short-term goals and use a solution-focused approach.
- Empathetic and able to manage crisis or high-risk situations.
- Strong time management skills and ability to manage a high volume of clients.
- Access to a confidential workspace.
- Proficiency in French required.

Responsibilities
- Provide short-term counselling to a varied client base with diverse issues, through phone and video sessions.
- Adapt interventions to fit personal style.
- Efficiently manage administrative requirements using clinical templates and technology tools that simplify note-taking.
- Participate in team meetings and peer groups where open discussions are encouraged.
