As an integral part of Tulsa Educare, Early Learning Works (ELW) is an initiative of Tulsa Educare beyond the walls of the schools. ELW mobilizes resources, engages with child care providers, parents and community organizations. The Community Outreach Specialist at Tulsa Educare Early Learning Works (ELW) is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering community-based programs and resources that support parents, caregivers, and others who influence the lives of young children throughout the Tulsa community. As a bilingual (Spanish/English) professional, this position engages diverse communities through culturally responsive outreach, strategic partnerships, and community engagement to increase participation in ELW programs. Tulsa Educare is seeking a Community Outreach Specialist who will make the commitment to perform with integrity and model essential qualities such as the ability to quickly adapt to changes, willingness to work collaboratively with diverse communities and professionals, comfort working with diverse audiences, openness to feedback, self-motivation, dependability, physical ability to perform tasks in various environments, commitment to outstanding customer service, strong bilingual oral and written communication skills (Spanish-English), understanding of team integration and effective communication, practice of effective team behavior and interpersonal skills, qualification to work around children, openness to feedback for work improvement, and legal authorization to work in the United States.
