About The Position

Westchester Jewish Community Services (WJCS) is seeking a Bilingual Clinician to join our Substance Use & Co-Occurring Disorders Treatment Programs team. In this role, you will provide integrated, evidence-based assessment and treatment services for individuals with substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders within a New York State OASAS outpatient clinic operating under the Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) model. WJCS is an award-winning, nonprofit, nonsectarian human services organization founded in 1943 and is the largest provider of licensed outpatient community behavioral health services and one of the largest human service agencies in Westchester County. We serve over 20,000 individuals of all ages and backgrounds annually through innovative programs, compassionate care, and a commitment to excellence.

Requirements

  • Masters Degree in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling from an accredited school.
  • CASAC-T/CASAC credentialing
  • New York State licensure as an LMSW, LMHC, or LCSW); LCSW or LMHC strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based practices for the treatment of substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders.
  • Strong assessment, communication, documentation, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in substance use treatment, community mental health, integrated behavioral health, and/or with children and adolescents preferred.
  • Familiarity with Motivational Interviewing (MI), trauma-informed care, harm reduction, and person-centered approaches to treatment.
  • Experience delivering integrated care within an outpatient behavioral health or Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) setting preferred.
  • Interest or experience in working with Concerned Significant Others (CSOs) utilizing Community Reinforcement and Family Training (CRAFT) and Invitation to Change (ITC) approaches preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide person-centered individual, family, and group counseling services.
  • Deliver integrated substance use and co-occurring disorder treatment using evidence-based practices.
  • Provide Encompass services, including support for Concerned Significant Others (CSOs) utilizing Community Reinforcement and Family Training (CRAFT) and Invitation to Change (ITC) approaches.
  • Complete comprehensive assessments, treatment plans, safety plans, and ongoing clinical documentation in accordance with agency, OASAS, and CCBHC standards.
  • Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant clinical documentation within the electronic health record.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate integrated, whole-person care.
  • Coordinate care with community providers and referral sources to support continuity of care.
  • Meet established productivity and performance expectations.
  • Provide evening clinic coverage, as needed, generally up to two evenings per week until 7:00 p.m.
