Explore opportunities in our Career Center and make a difference where it matters most.   The Case Aide is assigned to the case management department and is responsible for assisting in the day-to-day tasks to ensure that case management services are provided to children in a timely manner. The Case Aide demonstrates knowledge of and familiarity with the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) policy and procedures relating to the documentation and recordkeeping of records of unaccompanied children (UC).

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, Clinical Counseling, Human Services or other relevant behavioral science required.
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, SharePoint, OneDrive) with the ability to learn new software.
  • Case management experience with youth and children.
  • Ability to read, write and converse proficiently in Spanish and translate written Spanish into English.
  • Valid, active driver's license and Clean Driving record is required.
  • Minimum GED or High School Diploma.
  • 1-2 years of experience working in a youth services field.

Responsibilities

  • Assist to coordinate case management services to include the safe and timely release of UC in accordance with ORR policy and procedures.
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of documentation as required by state and federal regulations, to include ensuring that all services provided to youth are documented in the client record and required databases in accordance with state and federal regulations.
  • Assist case management with creating discharge packets with discharge documentation. Provide exit orientation to client as part of discharge process from the program.
  • Ensure that youth are properly enrolled into the program’s internal intake system UAC Portal and DHS/ ORR placement documents are filed and uploaded to UAC Portal software.
  • Ensure the provision of weekly phone calls with family of origin, primary caregiver, sponsor and follow up service phone calls are conducted 30 days after youth’s reunification and discharge from program.
  • Responsible for assisting management staff with routine or daily responsibilities as assigned to ensure program operation and activities adhere to legal guidelines and internal policies.
