Bilingual (Spanish) Caregiver – Lodi, CA
About The Position
A family in Lodi, California, is seeking a warm, attentive caregiver to provide full-time, round-the-clock care for an older adult. The household is smoke-free and pet-free. The care recipient enjoys classic television and game shows, and the family values compassionate, patient support with daily routines, afternoon rest schedules, and companionship. The schedule lists Friday and Saturday as care days, with flexible shifts needed as part of a 24/7 care plan. The anticipated start is as soon as possible. Compensation is $16–$21 per hour. Candidates must undergo a background check and provide proof of legal authorization to work in the United States. This is a private, family-hired position; caregivers are hired directly by the family and are not employed by Wellthy.
Requirements
- Fluency in Spanish to communicate effectively with the care recipient.
- Experience using Hoyer Lift equipment and manual transfer techniques.
- Experience with specialized medication administration, such as crushing and preparing medication.
- Prior caregiving experience supporting older adults with physical therapy and mobility needs.
- Proof of legal authorization to work in the United States.
- Successful completion of a background check.

- Experience managing seniors’ daily activity schedules to support optimal sleep hygiene.
Responsibilities
- Provide warm companionship and engage the care recipient in light recreational activities.
- Manage and administer daily medications, including crushing and preparing them with applesauce.
- Assist with personal hygiene and activities of daily living.
- Provide transfer assistance and light mobility support, including safely operating a Hoyer Lift when needed.
- Support existing physical therapy routines.
- Help maintain daily schedules and encourage light afternoon activity to support consistent evening sleep routines.
