About The Position

Guidepost Montessori at Prosperity is hiring a full-time Bilingual Assistant Guide fluent in spoken English and Spanish. The role supports Infant, Toddler, and Children’s House classrooms serving children from infancy through age 6. The Assistant Guide helps create a calm, engaging, orderly learning environment where children can explore, develop independence and confidence, and learn at their own pace. Spanish is incorporated into daily conversations, songs, stories, cultural traditions, and routines so children can experience the language naturally.

Working the Monday–Friday closing shift from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, the Assistant Guide helps children wind down, prepares the classroom for the next day, and greets families at pickup. The role involves supporting individual and small-group activities, observing children’s needs, preparing and maintaining the classroom, and building respectful relationships with children, families, Lead Guides, and the wider team. Montessori experience is welcome but not required; training and support are provided.

Requirements

• Fluency in spoken English and Spanish.
• Experience working with young children, from infants through age 6, in a school or childcare setting.
• Availability to consistently work Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM.
• A positive, flexible, team-minded attitude.
• A love for working with young children.

Responsibilities

• Speak with children in Spanish throughout the day as part of their natural routines.
• Share songs, books, and cultural traditions that introduce and reinforce Spanish.
• Observe children closely to understand and support each child’s needs.
• Prepare and maintain a beautiful, orderly classroom.
• Support individual and small-group learning activities.
• Build warm, respectful relationships with children and families, including Spanish-speaking families.
• Work with Lead Guides and the team to build a strong classroom community.
• Help close the classroom each afternoon and connect with families at pickup.
