About The Position

The Bike Patrol Officer will exemplify MCR’s values and set a great example by always demonstrating excellent guest service and professionalism. This role involves observing and responding to emergencies, incidents, procedure violations, criminal, and other activities as they occur. The officer will document and prepare accurate and complete written records and reports, interact with guests, vendors, suppliers, and team members to maintain a safe and friendly environment, and assist guests, team members, and visitors within the guidelines set by the department. The position also includes safeguarding property assets, ensuring proper handling of confidential information, monitoring team member vehicles, issuing parking violation notices, operating company vehicles, and potentially serving as a training officer for new security staff. After hire, the officer will be required to complete various training programs such as CPR, first aid, defensive tactics, and a bicycle patrol training course. They will also monitor and report on the condition of security vehicles and equipment, maintain and repair their bicycle, and may testify in court as needed. The role also focuses on creating and maintaining a positive and safe work environment, promoting positive team member relations, and performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Hold and maintain a valid WA State Driver License.
• Ability to obtain a Class IIIA gaming license.
• Knowledge in use of handcuffs, flashlights, oxygen tanks and PPE.
• Skilled in critical thinking, awareness, and problem-solving skills in every aspect of duties.
• Ability to learn, comprehend and follow detailed security procedures and instructions.
• Ability to document incidents and write up reports in an accurate and legible manner.
• Ability to work with and maintain confidential information.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
• Read, write, and speak English fluently.
• Ability to portray an assertive, confident, and professional attitude when interacting with guests and team members.
• Ability to enforce rules and regulations with diplomacy and tact.
• Ability to maintain composure during stressful situations.
• Ability to operate a personal computer and applicable software, and/or other office equipment.
• Knowledge of health & safety standards, and safety regulations as required.
• Ability to walk, stand and ride a bicycle for prolonged periods of time.
• Ability to occasionally lift seventy-five (75) pounds to one hundred pounds (100 lbs.).

Responsibilities

• Practice, support and promote the Security Department mission statement.
• Observe and responds to emergencies, incidents, procedure violations, criminal, and other activities as they occur.
• Document and prepare accurate and complete written records and reports in response to incidents, procedure violations, or criminal activities as responded to, observed and/or witnessed.
• Interact with guests, vendors, suppliers, and team members to maintain a safe and friendly environment.
• Assist guests, team members and visitors within the guidelines set by the department.
• Safeguard’s property assets.
• Ensure proper handling of confidential information, reports, incidents, and materials.
• Monitor team member’s vehicles as well as ensuring they park in the proper designated areas.
• Issue parking violation notices to team members who have violated the parking policy.
• Operate company vehicle.
• May serve as training officer to new security staff, while maintaining and exhibiting excellent guest service
• Required to complete various training programs, such as CPR, first aid, defensive tactics, etc. after hire.
• Required to attend bicycle patrol training course and be able to perform all required motor skills.
• Monitor and reports on the condition of each security vehicle, bike, and equipment.
• Maintain and repair their bicycle.
• May testify in court as needed in regard to MCR related incidents.
• Create, maintain, and facilitate a positive and safe work environment; promote positive team member relations and reports issues to appropriate personnel.
• Engage guests, team members and vendors with a professional and friendly demeanor.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
