About The Position

The Bike Patrol Officer will exemplify MCR’s values and set a great example by always demonstrating excellent guest service and professionalism. This role involves practicing, supporting, and promoting the Security Department mission statement. The officer will observe and respond to emergencies, incidents, procedure violations, criminal activities, and other occurrences. Responsibilities include documenting and preparing accurate written records and reports, interacting with guests, vendors, suppliers, and team members to maintain a safe and friendly environment, and assisting individuals within departmental guidelines. The role also involves safeguarding property assets, ensuring proper handling of confidential information, monitoring team member vehicles and parking, and issuing parking violation notices. Additionally, the officer may operate a company vehicle, serve as a training officer for new staff, and complete various training programs such as CPR, first aid, and defensive tactics. Specific training for bicycle patrol is required, along with the ability to maintain and repair their bicycle. The officer may also testify in court and is responsible for creating and maintaining a positive and safe work environment, promoting positive team member relations, and performing other duties as assigned. Engaging guests, team members, and vendors with a professional and friendly demeanor is essential.

Requirements

  • Hold and maintain a valid WA State Driver License.
  • Ability to obtain a Class IIIA gaming license.

  • Formal security or law enforcement training, schooling or certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Document and prepare accurate and complete written records and reports in response to incidents, procedure violations, or criminal activities as responded to, observed and/or witnessed.
  • Interact with guests, vendors, suppliers, and team members to maintain a safe and friendly environment.
  • Assist guests, team members and visitors within the guidelines set by the department.
  • Safeguard property assets.
  • Ensure proper handling of confidential information, reports, incidents, and materials.
  • Monitor team member’s vehicles as well as ensuring they park in the proper designated areas.
  • Issue parking violation notices to team members who have violated the parking policy.
  • Operate company vehicle.
  • May serve as training officer to new security staff, while maintaining and exhibiting excellent guest service.
  • Complete various training programs, such as CPR, first aid, defensive tactics, etc. after hire.
  • Complete bicycle patrol training course and be able to perform all required motor skills.
  • Monitor and report on the condition of each security vehicle, bike, and equipment. Maintain and repair their bicycle.
  • May testify in court as needed in regard to MCR related incidents.
  • Create, maintain, and facilitate a positive and safe work environment; promote positive team member relations and report issues to appropriate personnel.
  • Engage guests, team members and vendors with a professional and friendly demeanor.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
