The Bike Park Staff position supports the construction, maintenance, operation, and guest experience of The Basin Gravity Park, Bogus Basin’s hiking trails, and cross-country mountain bike trail network. This role combines trail work, daily inspections, signage maintenance, on-bike trail presence, guest service, and safety support. Ideal candidates are 18+, comfortable riding downhill and cross-country trails at an intermediate level or above, and prepared for physically demanding outdoor work in a mountain environment. The Bike Park Staff role changes seasonally. During build and repair season (April through mid-June & Labor Day through mid-November), staff focus on trail preparation, repair, improvement, and construction. Work includes brush cutting, raking, resurfacing, drainage and erosion repair, shaping berms, rollers, and jumps, supporting reroutes, and helping build new downhill mountain bike trails. During the summer operating season (mid-June through Labor Day), staff focus on daily grooming, morning trail sweeps, signage checks, guest support, trail condition reporting, and riding trails to monitor operations and maintain a visible staff presence. Build and repair seasons are labor-intensive. Staff should expect long days of manual work, including up to 10-hour shifts with a one-hour lunch break, up to five days per week. Weekend availability is required.
