We have an exciting opportunity for a Bids and Contracts Administrator located in Milwaukee, WI. How You Will Contribute: You will be responsible for reviewing, revising, and processing contracts for our fire protection division. You will communicate directly with internal and external stakeholders regarding the contracts that you are working on. You will work directly under the supervision of the corporate attorney and collaboratively with other veteran members of our bids and contracts team.

  • Strong intermediate (or higher) skills with MS Office and Bluebeam

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience or training in contract administration OR other office administration requiring a high level of detail
  • Experience reading contract language
  • Working knowledge of property and casualty insurance
  • Bachelor’s degree in a business field or 3+ years of experience working in an office environment
  • Customer service experience

Responsibilities

  • Review contracts, subcontracts, terms & conditions, NDAs, etc to determine if the terms are the same or different as prior documents
  • Prepare and process contract modifications following prior mark-ups
  • Review contract documents for accuracy and compliance with Ahern procedures, signature approvals, and insurance requirements
  • Act as a central point of contact with external and internal stakeholders to answer questions and resolve issues related to contract documents
  • Organize, administer, maintain, and track all Ahern contracts in the contract management system
  • Generate and execute subcontracts per company policy
  • Update records of all correspondence related to contract activity
  • Assist in other areas of support of the corporate attorney as necessary
