Requirements

Current BICSI certification, preferably technician level or higher
Proven structured cabling installation experience and proficiency with testing and installation equipment
Thorough understanding of telecommunications infrastructure and standards
Ability to accurately read and follow construction drawings and technical specifications
Ability to complete high-quality work independently, with a team, and with minimal supervision
Physical ability to lift 50 lbs and work in various environments/conditions (construction sites, data centers, on ladders, in confined spaces, etc.)
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel regularly, including some overnight travel as needed
Ability to pass a background check

Responsibilities

Travel to assigned job sites to service and install commercial and industrial structured cabling systems.
Discuss cabling needs with clients, project managers, and team members.
Follow blueprints, schematics, and drawings to properly install, terminate, test, and label copper (Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A) and fiber optic systems.
Comply with all codes, regulations, and company standards.
Troubleshoot existing systems and perform general maintenance.
Verify that all work is functioning correctly upon completion.
Clean work area thoroughly after job completion.
