This role involves repairing, testing, and turning up circuits from DS0 through Optical, analyzing test results to isolate and determine service problems, and coordinating with various groups to ensure service continuity. The technician will also perform remote activation of network services, manage line translations, and interface with customers to provide status updates and confirm service provisioning or restoration. A key aspect of the role is acting as a customer advocate and serving as the first point of contact for Public Safety Answering Points (PSAP), emergency situations, and outages on emergency (911) or FAA circuits, including monitoring alarms and remotely maintaining CPE for PSAPs.
