As a BI Developer, you’ll play a critical role in building scalable analytics solutions that inform business strategy and operational performance. This isn’t a ticket-based reporting role—you’ll partner directly with stakeholders, challenge assumptions, and design data solutions that deliver measurable value.

Requirements

  • 4+ years in BI/analytics development
  • 3+ years Power BI (data modeling, DAX, performance optimization)
  • 4+ years SQL (complex queries, CTEs, window functions, large datasets)
  • 2+ years SSRS reporting
  • Expertise in data modeling and relational databases
  • Ability to design scalable, high-performance data solutions
  • Takes initiative and owns solutions from concept through delivery
  • Comfortable defining problems—not just executing tasks
  • Translates ambiguous requirements into clear, actionable outputs
  • Challenges assumptions and drives meaningful insights
  • Effectively partners with stakeholders
  • Clearly connects data insights to business impact

Nice To Haves

  • Healthcare data (claims, cost/utilization)
  • Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS)
  • ETL/data pipelines (SSIS or similar)
  • Experience in regulated environments (e.g., HIPAA)

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain high-impact Power BI dashboards using strong data modeling and DAX best practices.
  • Write and optimize complex SQL queries to analyze large datasets and deliver actionable insights on cost, utilization, and performance.
  • Develop and maintain SSRS reports for scheduled and ad hoc reporting needs.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand needs, ask the right questions, and translate ambiguity into structured, data-driven solutions.
  • Create scalable data models to support enterprise-level reporting and analytics.
  • Automate workflows, enhance reporting efficiency, and increase data accessibility across teams.
  • Maintain consistency and quality across multiple data sources.
  • Contribute to best practices, support technical initiatives, and mentor junior team members.
