Comprehensive Healthcare offers internship and practicum placements for students in relevant clinical-focused academic programs. Placements are considered only for students whose undergraduate or graduate degree program requires an internship to graduate. Counseling and social work students are prioritized; students in other related disciplines may be considered when space is available. Internships are hosted at campuses in Ellensburg, Walla Walla, Yakima, Sunnyside, and the Tri-Cities. Availability depends on the requirements of the student's academic program and the opportunities available in each treatment area. Applicants should consider their interests, career goals, and internship requirements when selecting programs. To apply, complete the online application and upload the required and relevant documents. Human Resources reviews applications for factors such as geographic location, supervision requirements, and timeframe. Applications that may fit available placements are forwarded to relevant supervisors, who may interview candidates. For selected interns, HR coordinates required paperwork and agreements and conducts a criminal background check. After the placement is confirmed, interns complete an onboarding day before starting. Onboarding generally takes place on a Monday at the main Yakima facility, with some flexibility for students unable to travel.
