About The Position

Avenues Recovery Center is hiring a Master's Level Addictions Therapist for its inpatient detox and residential treatment facility in Fort Collins, Colorado. The therapist provides individualized, evidence-based care to clients and takes responsibility for clinical services and aftercare for an assigned caseload. The role includes delivering therapy, responding to crises, maintaining thorough client documentation, and coordinating care with the clinical team and families.

Avenues Recovery Center is a nationwide network of drug and alcohol rehabilitation centers with 18 locations across 7 states. Its programs include detox, residential, PHP, IOP, and outpatient services.

Requirements

• Master's degree in psychology, counseling, or a related field.
• Valid state licensure or certification to practice in the role; examples include LPCC, LPC, LSW, LCSW, CAS, CAC III, and ADDC.
• Excellent observational, collaborative, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Compassionate, dignified character that models recovery principles.
• Ability to set strong boundaries and maintain absolute confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Create individualized, evidence-based treatment plans for each client.
• Conduct individual, group, family, and couple therapy sessions.
• Manage clinical needs, services, and aftercare for an assigned client caseload.
• Prevent, intervene in, and de-escalate crises.
• Maintain accurate documentation of client challenges, progress, relapse risk, and interventions.
• Coordinate care with the Clinical Director, treatment team, and families.
• Model ethics, morality, and recovery principles, including honesty, accountability, dignity, and respect.
