The BH Technical Partner delivers direct and indirect patient care in accordance with hospital policies, procedures, protocols, and standards of care. This role involves assisting patients with daily living activities, collecting and reporting patient care data, and interacting with patients to observe and record behaviors, vital signs, and meal consumption. The Technical Partner also contributes to patient education, plans and initiates patient activities, and facilitates groups. Collaboration with other healthcare providers is essential to ensure continuous patient care and achieve desired outcomes. The position requires demonstrating leadership, problem-solving skills, and adherence to the chain of command. Additionally, the Technical Partner assists in maintaining departmental compliance with regulatory agencies, participates in performance improvement activities, and ensures patient safety by utilizing identification protocols, responding to code situations, maintaining a clean environment, and handling specimens. A key aspect of the role is understanding and utilizing non-violent crisis intervention principles, including observing for agitation, assisting in managing agitated patients, and knowing how to use safety measures like panic buttons. The role also requires knowledge of the MH/MR commitment process and patient rights.
