About The Position

Barrel House is seeking a dishwasher to join their team. The role involves cleaning and washing dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, or pans using a dishwasher or by hand. The dishwasher is also responsible for maintaining kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils in a clean and orderly condition, stocking supplies, sweeping and scrubbing floors, cleaning garbage cans, sorting and removing trash, and transferring supplies and equipment. General cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products, cleaning and maintaining restroom facilities, and performing other duties as requested are also part of the job.

Requirements

Strong communication skills; including the ability to deal effectively with vastly diverse groups of people and guests.
Ability to obtain any government required licenses or certificates.
All employees must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance including hair color.
Standing for extended periods of time
Reaching by extending hand(s) or arm(s) in any direction
Ability to carry boxes weighing up to 30 lbs. through a crowded work area on a continuous basis throughout shift.
Must be able to push and pull weight equaling 100 lbs.
Manual dexterity of hands in order to manipulate serving spoons, trays, etc.
Ability to perform duties with extreme temperature and noise ranges
Ability to see within normal parameters
Ability to hear within normal range

Nice To Haves

High School Diploma or equivalent
CPR certification and/or First Aid training

Responsibilities

Wash dishes, utensils, or cooking equipment
Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, or utensils in clean and orderly condition
Stock supplies such as food or utensils, in serving stations, cupboards or refrigerators.
Sweep & Scrub Floors
Clean garbage cans
Sort & Remove trash, placing it in designated pick-up areas.
Transferring of supplies & equipment between storage areas.
Load or unloading of trucks that deliver or pick up food supplies.
Perform any general cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products as assigned by supervisor to adhere to health standards.
Responsible for cleaning and maintaining restroom facilities
Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested (i.e., special guest requests).
Other duties as assigned by the Manager or Supervisor.
