About The Position

The Denver Museum of Nature & Science is hiring enthusiastic, reliable, guest-focused Beverage Team members for Magical Winter Nights, an after-hours holiday event. This seasonal, temporary position runs through January 5, 2027. Weekly hours may vary with operational needs and event attendance, and schedules may fluctuate throughout the season. The role is part-time, with a work schedule of 30 hours per week, and pays $23 per hour with no tips. There are no direct reports.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Pass Responsible Vendor training and obtain ServSafe certification.
• Have at least 6 months of experience working in a fast-paced bar.
• Be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, including December 24, December 31, and January 1.

Nice To Haves

• Be aware of surroundings and able to anticipate guests' needs.
• Be able to take initiative and engage with guests.

Responsibilities

• Mix, pour, and garnish traditional cocktails, beer, wines, and themed holiday specialty drinks or mocktails efficiently.
• Greet guests, take orders, and provide a warm, welcoming experience.
• Follow liquor training, safety, and standards; verify identification and legal age; and monitor guests for intoxication.
• Maintain a clean, orderly bar and restock liquor as needed.
