About The Position
The Beverage Server at Caesars New Orleans Casino provides fast, friendly, and courteous beverage service to guests in designated gaming areas. The role involves taking cocktail orders, coordinating with bartenders, delivering drinks and checks, processing payments, and maintaining a clean service station. The server helps create a positive guest experience through courteous interaction, stays informed about changing promotional beverages, events, and services, and follows attendance guidelines and regulatory, departmental, and company policies. The position requires a professional appearance, the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced casino environment, and the physical ability to maneuver throughout the casino and serve beverage trays weighing up to 15 pounds. The role may involve exposure to secondary smoke.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to accurately handle cash transactions, make change, and process guest charges.
- Ability to safely carry and serve beverage trays weighing up to 15 pounds.
- Strong mathematical skills, including basic addition and subtraction.
- Excellent guest-service, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and remain composed during high-volume periods.
- Ability to stand, walk, and remain mobile for extended periods, including shifts lasting up to four hours without a break.
- Must maintain a professional, polished, and well-groomed appearance in accordance with company standards.
- Demonstrated ability to build positive working relationships with guests and team members.
- Ability to maneuver to all areas of the casino and continuously and quickly move around assigned areas for an entire shift.
- Ability to frequently reach above and below the shoulder; stoop, bend, and twist while serving cocktails; and grip items such as glasses, pens, pads, garnishments, and money.
- Ability to garnish drinks appropriately and tolerate an area containing secondary smoke.
- Ability to work at a fast pace and in stressful situations.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English, and respond to visual and aural cues.

- Previous experience providing exceptional guest service in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of beverage service standards, cocktail ingredients, and tray service.
Responsibilities
- Provide beverage service and prompt, courteous refreshment service to casino guests in designated gaming areas.
- Present drink orders to the bartender and properly write checks while waiting for drinks to be prepared.
- Deliver drinks and checks to guests, accept payment, and provide change when necessary.
- Maintain a clean service station.
- Maintain accountability for complimentary charges and cash receipts, where applicable.
- Provide a positive guest experience through courteous interaction.
- Stay informed about changing promotional beverages, events, and services.
- Act as a role model and represent Caesars professionally, encouraging others to do the same.
- Meet attendance guidelines and comply with regulatory, departmental, and company policies.
