F&B Golf - Beverage Cart - Chippers
About The Position
The Carts/Chippers position plays an important role in supporting golf operations and enhancing the guest experience at Shanty Creek Resorts. This hands-on role is responsible for operating, staging, cleaning, and maintaining golf carts and related equipment to ensure guests receive prompt, courteous, and safe service. Carts/Chippers help create a welcoming and efficient environment by assisting guests, transporting equipment, supporting event setup and breakdown, and helping maintain the overall appearance and readiness of golf operations areas. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, interacting with guests, and being part of a team-focused environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull items as needed.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and flexible shifts as scheduled.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced outdoor environment.
- Ability to communicate clearly with guests and coworkers.
- Ability to follow safety procedures.

Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in hospitality, golf operations, recreation, or customer service.
- Familiarity with operating electric or gas-powered carts.
- Basic mechanical skills or ability to perform minor equipment checks.
- Prior experience working in a resort, golf course, or guest-facing environment.
- Basic mechanical knowledge is helpful for identifying minor cart issues.
Responsibilities
- Operate, stage, clean, and maintain golf carts and related equipment.
- Safely transport guests, supplies, and equipment as needed.
- Greet guests in a friendly, professional, and helpful manner.
- Assist guests with carts, bags, directions, and general questions.
- Perform routine inspections of carts to ensure they are clean, charged/fueled, and in good working condition.
- Report maintenance or safety concerns to a supervisor promptly.
- Assist with setup and breakdown for golf outings, tournaments, events, and daily operations.
- Help keep cart areas, staging areas, and guest-facing spaces clean and organized.
- Work collaboratively with golf operations staff and other resort team members.
- Support a positive guest experience by providing timely and courteous service.
